Move to the CityPeople who knew it well called it “The Forsaken Stretch” and with good reason. A mile wide perimeter of dust, dirt and desecration surrounding downtown L.A. The sun beat down mercilessly upon it, and a single black shrub peeked over the horizon, out of place in the fruitless earth around it. Along the baked mud road a lone figure struggled with a frayed leather suitcase, counting the hours since he had last seen a car.
